"It seems to me I am trying to tell you a dream-making a vain attempt, because no relation of a dream can convey the dream sensation, that commingling of absurdity, surprise,, and bewilderment in a tremor of struggling revolt, that notion of being captured by the incredible which is of the very essence of dreams. No, it is impossible, it is impossible to convey the life-sensation of any given epoch of one's existence-that which makes its truth, its meaning-its subtle and penetrating essence. It is impossible. We live, as we dream-alone".

In poetry workshop, we were suppose to write a poem about a favorite city. This was my try for Nainital.

Wonder as a dwarf in the midst of Himalayan peaks.
Go walk around the crowded Mall road
Packed with hotels, restaurants, cafe's, gift shops.
See the changing shades of green in the 'Naini' —the eye-shaped lake,
The biggest of seven sisters.
Enjoy a barbecued corn on the cob, brushed with spices and lime juice.
Listen to a solitary old man playing flute in one corner.

Seek solitude, feel cool breeze around the 'Thandi road',
Covered with lush green firs, oaks, and cedars.
Hike up to the Land's end to glance over the deep deep gorge around,
Count the thirteen dimensions, if you could.

Take a trolley up to 'Snow-View'
Enjoy 360 degree view
Breathe fog, and touch clouds if you could.
Try some warm 'jalebies' in 'Tallital',
Moth Namkeen and 'chaat-pakori' in 'Mallital'.
Don't forget the 'Spicy cha'.
